I’m sure for readers of my posts here, on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, it won’t come as a big surprise that I am a fan of Gini Dietrich and her team at Arment-Dietrich. Not only because they are all bright, energetic, dynamic and amazing experts in their fields – but as a group are really funny people. In fact I have often suggested to their ring-leader that she take her act on the road - outside of the PR and Communications speaking circuit – as she is one of the funniest people I have ever met – virtually or in real life.
So after more than a year of following her, her team and their daily musings – I decided it would be a fun side project to introduce Canadians to Gini and her band of merry-people and to get to know them by simply clicking “Like” on her corporate Facebook page. My goal – 1,000 Canuck “Likes” by December 31, 2011. Now before you ask, this is not designed to generate sales leads for her (she already does a pretty good job of that on her own) but rather introduce her philosophy, personality and amazing team to a broader audience and to demonstrate the beauty of Social Media – that being the social aspect.
Gini is a great fan of the medium – she is constantly speaking, sharing, learning and passing on what she has learned to the online communities who have come to know and appreciate her. I have often told her that she is a great “filter” of information for me as she is someone who reads and gets inspired from publications such as The Harvard Business Review – whereas I get the same from reading her blog Spin Sucks.
So with that – if you are Canadian – know a Canadian or just know someone who has had a pancake slathered in maple syrup – drop by Arment-Dietrich’s Facebook Corporate page and say hi to Gini and the crew…I guarantee that you will “Like” what you see (cheesy comments should not be a reflection in any way, shape or form on the Dairy Farmers of Canada).

Canada “Likes” Arment-Dietrich on Facebook – or at least that’s what I’m hoping 1,000 more of us are saying on December 31, 2011.
